Our 3^rd Date Night

 Chad and I had a romantic dinner cruise aboard the Portland Spirit yacht tonight.  The weather held out and it didn’t rain.  Delicious food and lovely sights along the way.  Alana was well entertained and cared for by her Grammy and Papa as well as many other guests!

Movie Night with Alana

So we decided to test something out this weekend.  We took Alana to the movies!  We went to Bridgeport in Tualatin, OR to the Regal Cinemas.  We saw “How to Train Your Dragon” while she slept in her car seat next to us.  Chad had to stick his finger in her mouth a few times but she was quiet and well behaved! We will have to do a late night movie again soon!

 

2 Month Checkup

So Alana is two months old today!  She had her pediatrician checkup at 2:00pm.  She is growing well and weighs 7 lbs 13 oz, is 22 inches long, and has a head circumference of 36 cm.  I can definitely see and feel her getting chunkier as I am holding her.  She also received her two month shots at her appointment as well. 

  DTaP: Diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine

  Hib: Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine

  IPV: Inactivated poliovirus vaccine

  Hep B: Hepatitis B vaccine (HBV)

  PCV: Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine

                                

She was so brave, getting three shots in one thigh and two in the other.  She only cried during the shots for 1-2 minutes, but quickly calmed down with a cuddle.  I’m proud of myself too for the fact that I didn’t start crying seeing her get her shots! She slept for a long time after her shots and didn’t even have “fussy time” like we call it from 6pm-9pm like she normally does.  Her next checkup is at 4 months of age.

Alana Rolled Over!

So today Alana rolled over when she was playing on her colorful Care Bear blanket that Grammy Sue made  for her!  She rolled from her tummy onto her back 3 times!  We are still working on going from back to front...but I'm sure that with enough floor time she will be doing that in no time!  She is getting soooo strong!

Sleeping Through the Night!!

Happy to report Alana slept through the night from about 11pm till 6am!  I had to wake her because my breasts were getting soooo full of milk….but if I hadn’t…..she probably would have slept longer!  Sweet dreams, my beautiful baby girl!  I love you!

Today Alana smiled back at me around 10:00am.  I know it wasn't gas this time.  It just melted my heart! XOXOXO

My 1st Mother's Day

Today was a day I have longed for many years.  It was my first Mother's Day being a mom!  The day was sunny and beautiful and Chad, Alana and I went t Yamhill Grill in Newberg for Mother's Day Brunch.  The food was delicious!  Chad's parents also gave me a touching card too.  Here are some photos.

Family Meets Alana

On May 2nd, 2010 my mom Teresa, dad Chris, and sister Ania came to spend a few days with us and got to meet Baby Alana for the first time!  It was a nice visit.  We hung out around the house, went for a walk in a beautiful park, did some shopping, my mom did some cook/cleaning for us....and I finally got help with organizing Alana's closet!  Here are some pictures from the days they were here.  It was sad to see them leave 2 days early, because my dad came down with a bad case of the stomach flu! :(  Chad, Alana, the doggies and I are heading up to Canada the first week of June for my sister's Highschool Graduation.  See you soon!
